Street Snap of the Day #33

It won't be much sun in Japan for a month now because the gloomy rain period has just begun. So I was running around in Shinjuku looking for a tanning studio today when I heard these two speak Swedish.

They were here on vacation shopping and visiting friends. It was pretty hard to find a place to take the photo because a Typhoon has just swept in over Japan so it's blowing a lot everywhere. :/

Funny Moments #8 Not Much Space

Tokyo is a city with a lot of people but not much space. In this bycycle garage they even have to put bikes on top of eachother for all of them to fit.

"...what did I just watch? O_O"

Got invited by Maamin to an event where this group Ayaman were performing.

Went there like this.

I want that hairstyle back!

Cool Cedric from Singapore came too!

Met up with Maamin's gyaru circle Kuraha. Some of them were really nice and outgoing, but others didn't really seem to wanna talk with new people. :/

They were selling clothes outside the event hall. Maybe it was pieces from the fashion show they had.

Cool hall for the event. This place called Ageha is also Asia's biggest night club.

PR-demonstration for some kinda skin lotion.

Interviews with famous people. I didn't know who they were though. :/

Talked with these two in the crowd.

Ayaman performing with their popular song "Poi Poi".

Here's the music video for Poi Poi

I think the song is pretty catchy but I love the top comment for the video! XD

Then it was fashion show!

After the event I was taking the train to meet Leon and saw Ayaman passing by at the station. I didn't knew who they were at that time but I asked for a photo. The girl to the left has a pretty long tongue btw! :D

At the next station I saw these stylish people! Coolest couple ever! Or are they siblings?

The girl's nails.

Purikura with Leon in Ikebukuro.

Leon wrote that I'm a "ChikokuMa" = Someone who always comes late. That's true, but he came late this time so he got an arrow too. ;)

I had a big test in school the next day so Leon helped me study for it and explained the meaning of "ChikokuMa" again... ;D

Drank a lot of Red Bull and coke to be able to study all night. I don't recommend it though because I got tired and gave up after a while anyway. :P

When I came out in the middle of the night there was some dance groups practicing. Whenever I leave Japan I will miss the fact that it's always happening something here so much.

Street Snap of the Day #32

Thought that I recognized this guy standing outside Harajuku station.

He told me he's a DJ at the club Trump Room.

Then I remembered that I've taken this photo of him which was in the post about Trump Room here.

Pretty fun that he's dressing in that style everyday, not only when he's in Trump Room. Japanese people are so dedicated to whatever they do! =)

Funny Moments #7 Driverless Car

When we were in the Toyota Showcase center at Odaiba this car came driving by. Everything looked normal so far...

But when it came closer you could see that there's no driver inside! :)

Funny Moments #6 Crowded Train

Me and my sister were going home from Disneyland, but the train was so crowded that one guy had half of his feet outside the train when it was about to leave.

We decided to take the next train. =)

Street Snap of the Day #31

Saw this person with a Gloomy Bear-doll outside Harajuku station. I first thought it was a woman but after hearing his voice it must have been a man.

Who's this Gloomy Bear by the way!?

"Gloomy Bear is a 2 meter tall, violent, pink bear that eats humans. The design is an antithesis to the excessively cute products produced by Disney, Sanrio's Hello Kitty, and other companies."
-Wikipedia

"Gloomy, an abandoned little bear, is rescued by Pitty (the little boy). At first, he is cute and cuddly, but becomes more wild as he grows up. Since bears do not become attached to people like dogs by nature, Gloomy attacks Pitty even though he is the owner."

They used to play a video of Gloomy Bear attacking this boy on one of the most crowded streets in Shinjuku. Everytime me and some friends passed by we couldn't believe our eyes. It was so sick, but nobody else seemed to be reacting.

The guy I met in Harajuku reminds me of this cosplayer(?) at the Yoyogi bridge. He's darker dressed and full of scary things instead of cute ones though.

Since the cute Gloomy Bear's story is so horrible, this guy's scary sidekick must be a sweetheart, right?

Gloomy Bear's creator Mori Chack also created other characters in a similar style, as for example Podolly, a sheep in a wolf skin, reversing the common phrase of a wolf in a sheep skin.

Dessert Pizza

At the Pizza Parlor Shakey's they have dessert pizzas like this one with marshmallows and chocolate sauce. Delicious! ^^

Shakey's comes from America, but I think they only have the dessert pizzas in Japan?

Hightlights at MINX Hair Salon

A pretty long time ago the EGG-model Morieda recommended me the hair salon MINX where he had styled his hair.

Outside MINX in Harajuku.

Together with the hairstylist that did my hair. Interesting person that likes Michael Jackson.

This was my hair color before. I guess that's my natural one but I've done so much highlights the last years that I forgotten. :P

After the highlights. So much happier than before! ;D

Went to the restaurant Gasuto with Fergus from New Zeeland and Mr. Jakob.

Fergus had a new haircut after a model job this day.

At Club Atom. Cool hairstyle on the girl in the middle!

With Dawn from Sweden/Burma. Nice butterfly ring!

Met these old and new friends on my way home.
